Your assessment result advises whether or not your qualifications are comparable to Australian tertiary qualifications and lists any additional requirements that you must complete in order to receive a suitable assessment for migration purposes.
The paragraph in bold print gives the assessment result for migration purposes. The wording has been approved by the Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC).
The bolded paragraph in your assessment letter will state if you are academically suitable for migration under the nominated ANZSCO code. If you are an Australian graduate and your assessment result indicates that your qualifications are not suitable for migration under your nominated ANZSCO code, it will confirm if you are able to use the assessment letter to apply for the Graduate (Temporary) Visa (Subclass 485).
You will also find information about how long the assessment is valid for and how long CPA Australia keeps records. We may also provide information about completion of additional studies if applicable.
While every effort is made to ensure currency of the information relating to assessments, details may change from time to time without notice.
All advice regarding qualifications is subject to confirmation by formal, individual assessment of qualifications.
Points Test*
A suitable assessment will also contain details of the comparability of your degree qualifications for the purposes of awarding points for the skilled migration points test.
If you have applied for an assessment and also provided evidence of skilled employment for consideration, you will receive an assessment result advising whether you have suitable qualifications and an additional letter regarding your skilled employment claims.
The letter regarding your skilled employment will provide information about whether your employment claims equate or do not equate to work at the skilled level for your nominated occupation.
* Please note the advice given is the opinion of CPA Australia and does not guarantee the awarding of any points under the skilled migration points test. Determination of points under the skilled migration points test remains at the discretion of delegated officers of the Department of Immigration and Citizenship.
